Fur Market Analysis Report

Groenwald Fur & Wool Co.     last updated 2/8/2010

Raccoon: Buyers have become a little more aggressive.  China is the dominant force.  Cold weather in Russia may push them back into the market on a selective basis.

Muskrat: Higher prices have now been achieved on fresh goods.  Buying is mostly Chinese.

Beaver: Bigger sizes are higher than last year.  Smaller sizes are still lagging.

Wild Mink: Higher ranch mink prices should support this item at current prices.

Coyote:  Late season may see interest.  Chinese raccoon are just too cheap.

Grey Fox Demand continues to be limited and styles are overlooking this item.  We are moving small parcels.

Red Fox: Cheapness has started to generate interest in this item.  We have moved several large parcels.

Skunk No longer a fashion item and must be sold as a novelty.

Fisher: Stable demand has kept this item fairly well priced relative to other goods.  Almost sold out...

Otter Tibetan religious use is still not existent but conventional garment makers are starting to take notice.
